Karachi: EFU General Insurance Ltd has disclosed a transaction involving the sale of shares by its Chairman, Saifuddin N. Zoomkawala, according to a report filed on September 22, 2026. The disclosure, made under the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Regulations, outlines the details of the transaction executed by the company's director.
The transaction report indicates that on September 21, 2026, Saifuddin N. Zoomkawala sold 76 shares of EFU General Insurance Ltd at a rate resulting in a cumulative holding of 210,000 shares, which corresponds to a cumulative percentage of 0.105. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the transaction is compliant with the regulations governing the disclosure of interest by directors, CEOs, executives, and substantial shareholders.
The company has confirmed that this transaction will be reviewed in its subsequent board meeting. Furthermore, EFU General Insurance Ltd has affirmed that the holding period for the transaction exceeded six months. In instances where the holding period is less than six months, any profit gained is required to be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as per Section 105 of the Securities Act, 2015, with a notification to the PSX.
The company also emphasized that no director, CEO, or executive is permitted to directly or indirectly engage in the trading of the company's shares during the closed period.
