Karachi: Power Cement Limited has announced the convening of its 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for October 20, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will take place at the PSX Auditorium, located on the 3rd Floor of the Admin Block at the Stock Exchange Building on Exchange Road, Karachi. This announcement was made in a notice published in local newspapers 'The Nation' and 'Nawaiwaqt' on September 29, 2026.
The AGM will address both ordinary and special business matters. As part of the ordinary business, the company will seek confirmation of the minutes from the previous AGM held on October 14, 2025. Additionally, the appointment and remuneration of auditors for the financial year ending June 30, 2027, will be discussed. The current auditors, M/s. A. F. Ferguson & Co., Chartered Accountants, are retiring but have expressed their willingness to be re-appointed.
Among the special business items, shareholders will consider ratifying related party transactions conducted during the year ending June 30, 2026. These transactions are detailed in note 39 of the company's financial statements. Furthermore, shareholders will authorize the company to engage in future related party transactions, which may include activities such as the sale and purchase of goods, services, loans, and investments.
