Kohat Textile Mills Limited Reports Big Move in Financial Position Amid Substantial Growth

Karachi: Kohat Textile Mills Limited, a prominent player in the textile sector, has released its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026. The company has reported a significant growth in multiple financial metrics, reflecting its robust performance over the fiscal year.

On October 1, 2026, the company disclosed its Statement of Financial Position, which indicates an increase in shareholders' equity from 4.61 billion Rupees in 2025 to 4.88 billion Rupees in 2026. The report highlights a notable big move with a 21.01% increase in trade debts, which rose to 2.65 billion Rupees from the previous 2.04 billion Rupees. This increase underscores the company's expansion in credit sales during the period.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Kohat Textile Mills Limited also experienced a rise in its total liabilities, which climbed from 5.50 billion Rupees in 2025 to 5.81 billion Rupees in the current year. This escalation is largely attributed to the increase in the current portion of non-current liabilities, which has surged from 263.44 million Rupees to 353.50 million Rupees, marking a significant move.

The company's revenue reserve, specifically the unappropriated profit, increased considerably to 1.71 billion Rupees from 1.41 billion Rupees, pointing to a robust profit retention strategy. The non-current liabilities also saw a rise, with deferred taxation increasing from 429.96 million Rupees to 537.06 million Rupees, indicating strategic tax planning.

Furthermore, Kohat Textile Mills’ total comprehensive income for the year was recorded at 290.94 million Rupees, a decline from the 737.86 million Rupees reported in 2025. This decrease is primarily due to the non-recurrence of a substantial surplus on revaluation of property, plant, and equipment recorded in the previous year.

Overall, the financial outcomes of Kohat Textile Mills Limited illustrate a year of growth and strategic financial management, positioning the company well in the textile industry's designated market category. The company's performance metrics indicate its resilience and capacity to navigate market dynamics effectively.
