NBP Stock Fund Reports Notable Growth in Assets and Income for 2026

Karachi: NBP Fund Management Limited has released its annual report for the NBP Stock Fund, covering the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The report, dated October 1, 2026, reveals significant growth in both assets and income.

The fund's total assets stood at 62.87 billion rupees, a substantial increase from 41.08 billion rupees in the previous year. The net assets of the fund also showed a notable rise, reaching 61.26 billion rupees compared to 39.98 billion rupees in 2025. This represents a very large or significant move of 3.50 trillion rupees in net assets.

Investments saw a significant increase to 58.08 billion rupees from 38.88 billion rupees in the prior year. The number of units in issue rose to 1,368,298,744 from 1,238,240,513, reflecting active participation and trust among investors.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the net asset value per unit increased to 44.7694 rupees from 32.2889 rupees, indicating a very large or significant move.

On the income side, the fund reported a total income of 19.71 billion rupees, up from 15.52 billion rupees in 2025. Dividend income increased to 2.74 billion rupees from 1.86 billion rupees, while profit on bank balances grew to 213.69 million rupees from 127.12 million rupees. The gain on the sale of investments was recorded at 4.65 billion rupees, up from 2.20 billion rupees, and the net unrealized appreciation on re-measurement of investments at fair value rose to 12.11 billion rupees from 11.31 billion rupees.

Expenses for the fund increased to 2.10 billion rupees from 1.48 billion rupees in the previous year, primarily due to higher remuneration of the management company and trustee, and an increase in securities transaction costs.

Overall, the net income for the year after taxation reached 17.61 billion rupees, rising from 14.05 billion rupees in 2025. The allocation of net income related to capital gain was 13.25 billion rupees for the year, compared to 11.32 billion rupees in the previous year.
