National Clearing Company of Pakistan Urges Timely Submission of Financial Statements

Karachi: The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has issued a final reminder to all Broker Clearing Members (BCMs) and Professional Clearing Members (PCM) regarding the submission of their audited financial statements, including the Liquid Capital (LC) statement, as of June 30, 2026. The directive, detailed in NCCPL Circular NCCPL/CM/SEPTEMBER-26/05, dated September 14, 2026, sets a submission deadline of November 02, 2026, in accordance with Regulation 6(3) of the Securities Brokers (Licensing & Operation) Regulations, 2016.

The NCCPL emphasized that the exposure will be contingent upon the lower of the audited and unaudited Liquid Capital submitted, as per NCCPL Regulations 2015. Non-compliance with the submission timeline may result in enforcement actions under Regulation 6(6) of the Securities Brokers (Licensing & Operation) Regulations, 2016. This includes potential trading restrictions for securities brokers failing to submit the required statements or in cases of identified shortfalls in liquid capital.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the mandated submissions will be accepted only during business hours, specifically until 5:30 PM. Following submission, adjustments within NCCPL systems are expected to occur within two working days.

Furthermore, BCMs are reminded to continue their practice of submitting monthly unaudited Liquid Capital statements to both the securities exchange and the clearing house promptly, as stipulated by Regulation 6(3) of the Securities Brokers (Licensing & Operation) Regulations, 2016. The NCCPL has reiterated the importance of adhering to these requirements to maintain compliance and avoid trading restrictions.
