Lahore: The Board of Directors of Ghani ChemWorld Limited (GCWL) convened a meeting on October 5, 2026, to deliberate on pivotal decisions regarding the company’s financial strategies. The board authorized the disposal of its entire entitlement of Letters of Rights (LoRs) through the open market of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX), contingent upon shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled for October 27, 2026.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the decision aligns with a prior resolution passed at an Extraordinary General Meeting on May 2, 2026, which sanctioned the disposal of Ghani Chemical Industries Limited (GCIL) ordinary shares held by GCWL. The board clarified that the earlier approval remains in effect, stating that the minimum price of PKR 30.00 per ordinary share shall not apply to the disposal of LoRs.
This strategic move is part of GCWL’s broader financial management plan, reflecting its ongoing commitment to optimizing its investment portfolio. The board’s decision underscores the importance of shareholder engagement and market dynamics in shaping the company’s fiscal policies.
