Dadabhoy Sack Limited Faces Big Move in Financial Position Amid Ongoing Losses

Karachi: Dadabhoy Sack Limited has released its 43rd annual report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, highlighting a series of financial challenges and significant changes in its financial position. The report, dated October 9, 2026, details the company's assets, liabilities, and equity, showing a decline in both total assets and shareholders' equity from the previous year.

According to the statement of financial position, the total assets of Dadabhoy Sack Limited fell to Rs. 37.89 million in 2026 from Rs. 40.60 million in 2025. This decrease is primarily attributed to a reduction in non-current assets, notably property, plant, and equipment, which shrank to Rs. 37.89 million compared to Rs. 40.60 million the previous year. Current assets, represented solely by the bank balance, also saw a decline, albeit minor, from Rs. 3,886 to Rs. 3,311.

The company's equity and liabilities reveal a similar trend, with shareholders' equity dropping to Rs. 26.06 million in 2026 from Rs. 28.23 million in 2025. The accumulated losses increased to Rs. 40.12 million from Rs. 39.36 million, contributing to the reduced equity. Non-current liabilities, specifically deferred tax liability, decreased to Rs. 6.19 million from Rs. 6.95 million, while current liabilities rose to Rs. 5.64 million from Rs. 5.42 million.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Dadabhoy Sack Limited reported a significant move in its financial performance, with a net loss after taxation of Rs. 2.17 million in 2026, an improvement from the Rs. 3.92 million loss reported in 2025. Despite this reduction in net loss, the company's administrative expenses remained substantial at Rs. 2.93 million, only slightly down from Rs. 3.31 million in the previous year.

The company's issued, subscribed, and paid-up capital remained constant at Rs. 40 million, with no change in the number of authorized shares. However, the surplus on revaluation of property, plant, and equipment decreased to Rs. 26.18 million from Rs. 27.59 million, further reflecting the challenging financial environment.

The report indicates that Dadabhoy Sack Limited has not generated any sales revenue for the year, maintaining a gross loss position and an operating loss equivalent to its administrative expenses. The taxation impact was favorable, with a net tax credit of Rs. 763,353, compared to a net tax charge of Rs. 614,287 in the prior year.

Dadabhoy Sack Limited's financial report underscores the company's ongoing struggle to achieve profitability, as reflected by a loss per share of Rs. 0.54, an improvement from the Rs. 0.67 loss per share reported in 2025. The company's financial position and performance continue to be closely monitored by market participants and stakeholders.
