Karachi: Sitara Peroxide Limited, a key player in the chemicals sector, has reported a notable financial turnaround for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, as per its annual report dated October 19, 2026. The company has achieved a profit of 147.46 million rupees, a significant recovery from the loss of 222.52 million rupees recorded in the previous year.
The financial statement reveals a decrease in total assets to 2.51 billion rupees from 2.78 billion rupees in the prior year. This reduction is primarily attributed to a decline in non-current assets, notably in property, plant, and equipment, which decreased to 1.97 billion rupees from 2.15 billion rupees. Current assets also saw a contraction, with stocks in trade declining to 168.78 million rupees from 218.78 million rupees.
The company's equity position improved with share capital remaining stable at 551 million rupees, while accumulated losses narrowed significantly to 591.39 million rupees from 841.72 million rupees. This improvement is largely driven by a surplus on the revaluation of property, plant, and equipment, which stood at 1.18 billion rupees, down from 1.28 billion rupees.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Sitara Peroxide Limited's financial performance was bolstered by an increase in other income, which surged to 375.72 million rupees from 12.90 million rupees. Despite an uptick in finance costs, which rose to 38.73 million rupees from 4.74 million rupees, the company's administrative expenses decreased to 240.41 million rupees from 254.75 million rupees.
The company faced a provision for taxation amounting to 133.37 million rupees, an increase from the previous year's 88.84 million rupees. Sitara Peroxide Limited's earnings per share also reflected this positive shift, rising to 2.68 rupees from a negative 4.04 rupees the year before.
The report highlights that despite enduring financial pressures, Sitara Peroxide Limited has managed to stabilize its financial footing, indicating a strategic shift in its operational and financial management. The company's ability to revert to profitability underscores its resilience and potential growth in the market.
