Karachi: AKD Hospitality Limited has announced the unopposed election of its seven-member board of directors, as per a notification issued under Section 159(4) of the Companies Act, 2017. The election will be formalized at the company's Annual General Meeting scheduled for October 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., to be held at the Continental Trade Centre in Karachi.

The candidates for the board are Ms. Huma Khurram Rashid Paracha, Mr. Nadeem Saulat Siddiqui, Mr. Kanwar Adeel Zaman, Mr. Aamir Nazir Dhedhi, Ms. Uzma Paracha, Mr. Mian Asif Maqboo Sukhera, and Mr. Muhammad Qasim. Notably, Ms. Uzma Paracha is designated as a female and independent director, while Mr. Mian Asif Maqboo Sukhera and Mr. Muhammad Qasim are independent directors.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the independent directors have been selected based on their experience, competencies, diversity, skills, and knowledge, adhering to the requirements of Section 166 of the Companies Act, 2017, and the Companies (Manner and Selection of Independent Directors) Regulations, 2018.

As the number of candidates does not exceed the number of fixed director positions, the listed individuals will assume their roles unopposed.
