Sui Southern Gas Company Limited Seeks Extension for Quarterly Accounts Submission

Karachi: Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) has formally applied for an extension to submit its first quarter accounts for the period ending September 30, 2026. This request follows the company's earlier application and subsequent approval to delay its Annual General Meeting for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, by 30 days.

The extension, which is sought under Section 237 of the Companies Act, 2017, requests that the deadline for the submission of the first quarter financial statements be moved to December 27, 2026. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company is currently operating without approved financial statements for the fiscal year 2025-26, which affects the opening balance sheet figures for the first quarter ended September 30, 2026. These figures are based on provisional data and are subject to change upon the Board's approval of the annual accounts.

The initial extension, which was granted up to November 27, 2026, allows SSGC extra time to hold its AGM. The company has additionally been permitted to file its first quarter financial statements by November 29, 2026. The absence of approved financial statements for the fiscal year 2025-26 means that the audited balances required for the preparation of the first quarterly accounts will only become available after the Board's approval.

The company's application for the extension includes an affidavit and a Bank Challan of Rs. 1,035/- for the filing fee. The designated market category for this information is the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
