Karachi: United Bank Limited (UBL) has announced the disbursement of its Third Interim Cash Dividend at a rate of Rs.8 per share, equivalent to 160% for the fiscal year 2026. This decision was ratified by the bank's Board of Directors during a meeting on October 16, 2026, and dividends have been directly credited to the bank accounts of the entitled shareholders. This move is part of UBL's ongoing commitment to reward its investors.
However, the bank has withheld the dividend from those shareholders who have not yet submitted copies of their valid Computerized National Identity Cards or Passport Numbers, alongside complete and valid bank account details (IBAN). This action is in compliance with Regulation No.06 of the Companies (Distribution of Dividends) Regulations, 2017, and Section 242 (3) of the Companies Act, 2017. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), shareholders are urged to provide the requisite information to ensure the seamless credit of dividends.
In the case of book-entry securities within the Central Depository System (CDS), shareholders are advised to update their information with CDS Participants or Stock Brokers. For holders of physical securities, updates should be directed to the Share Registrar and Transfer Agent of the Bank, M/s. THK Associates (Pvt.) Ltd., based in Karachi.
To assist in dividend management, the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Ltd (CDC) has developed an eService web portal. This platform provides shareholders with comprehensive details regarding paid dividends, Zakat/Tax deductions, and any unpaid or withheld dividends by listed companies. Shareholders are encouraged to register themselves on the eService portal to access these facilities.
Furthermore, UBL has reminded shareholders who have not claimed or collected their dividends or share certificates to contact the bank's Registrar/Share Transfer Agent, M/s. THK Associates (Pvt) Ltd., for details on unclaimed dividends or shares.
In compliance with Sub Section 2 of Section 72 of the Companies Act, 2017, shareholders are also requested to convert their physical share certificates into a book-entry form. This conversion is mandatory and should be undertaken promptly. Shareholders may seek assistance from a Broker, PSX Member, CDC Participant, or CDC Investor Account Service to facilitate the transition of physical shares into a book-entry form.
