Karachi: TPL Trakker Ltd., a key player in the tracking technology sector, revealed a significant financial downturn for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The company's unconsolidated statement of profit or loss and comprehensive income highlighted a net loss of 518.36 million rupees, a substantial increase from the 69.95 million rupees recorded in the previous year.
The report, dated November 2, 2026, outlined that the company's turnover fell considerably to 1.16 billion rupees from 1.77 billion rupees in 2025, signaling a very large or significant move in the negative direction. This drop in turnover was accompanied by a decrease in gross profit, which fell from 732.12 million rupees to 308.64 million rupees.
Further compounding the financial strain, TPL Trakker incurred high finance costs amounting to 292.63 million rupees, compared to 337.24 million rupees in the prior year. Administrative expenses and distribution expenses also contributed to the losses, with the former totaling 274.65 million rupees and the latter 82.11 million rupees.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's financial results were further impacted by other expenses, which jumped to 128.58 million rupees from 36.90 million rupees in the previous fiscal year. Research and development expenses slightly decreased to 52.92 million rupees from 65.81 million rupees.
Despite these challenges, TPL Trakker managed to report other income of 209.45 million rupees, up from 144.87 million rupees the previous year, providing some relief against mounting losses. However, this was insufficient to offset the overall financial decline, leading to a total comprehensive loss for the year of 507.36 million rupees, compared to 94.93 million rupees the previous year.
Taxation expenses also saw a big move, increasing to 158.56 million rupees from 3.67 million rupees in 2025. This contributed to the company's loss before income tax and levies, which stood at 312.80 million rupees, compared to a loss of 14.37 million rupees the prior year.
The loss per share, both basic and diluted, was reported at 2.77 rupees, a notable decrease from 0.37 rupees in the preceding year.
Overall, TPL Trakker Ltd.'s financial performance for the year ended June 30, 2026, underscores significant challenges in maintaining profitability amid declining revenues and increased expenses.
