JazzSure Insurance Limited Reports Robust Growth with 28% Increase in Gross Written Premium

Karachi: JazzSure Insurance Limited has reported a significant surge in its financial performance for the nine months ending September 30, 2026, marking a notable 28% increase in Gross Written Premium (GWP). According to the company's quarterly report released on November 3, 2026, GWP rose to Rs. 5,360 million from Rs. 4,172 million in the same period last year. This growth includes contributions from the company's Window Takaful Operations.

The Net Earned Premium (NEP) also saw considerable growth, increasing by 35% to Rs. 4,190 million, up from Rs. 3,114 million in the previous year. The company's strategic focus on expanding its customer base has been particularly successful in its Motor and Health Insurance segments. Motor Insurance emerged as the largest contributor to premium growth, with GWP climbing by 24% to Rs. 3,568 million from Rs. 2,876 million. The Health Insurance segment demonstrated a remarkable performance with a 113% growth in GWP, totaling Rs. 752 million compared to Rs. 353 million last year.

The report highlights a 34% increase in net claims, including PDR, reaching Rs. 2,096 million from Rs. 1,561 million in the corresponding period. However, the claim loss ratio to NEP improved slightly from 50% to 49%. Investment returns were also a bright spot, with a 75% increase to Rs. 268 million, attributed to a revised treasury strategy.

The company's profit before tax increased substantially, recording Rs. 371 million compared to Rs. 27 million in the same period last year, bolstered by its Window Takaful Operations.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the insurance industry in Pakistan is facing challenges due to geopolitical tensions and economic conditions. Factors such as higher fuel prices and supply chain disruptions are impacting costs in Motor, Health, and Marine segments. Despite these challenges, the 38% increase in automobile sales to 131,143 units presents a positive outlook for Motor Insurance growth.

In a significant development, JazzSure Insurance Limited underwent a change in control when Jazz International Holding Limited acquired 76.33% of the company on July 13, 2026. The acquisition transferred control from TPL Corp Limited, marking a new chapter for the insurer.

The Board of Directors has expressed its gratitude to stakeholders, business partners, and regulatory bodies, including the Pakistan Stock Exchange and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, for their continued support.
