Karachi: Agriauto Industries Limited, a prominent player in the automotive components sector, has reported a notable increase in profitability for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026. The company’s board of directors, at a meeting held on September 1, 2026, announced financial results that reflect a significant turnaround in its financial performance.
The fiscal year 2026 saw Agriauto Industries achieving a net turnover of Rs. 17.38 billion, a substantial rise from the Rs. 11.86 billion recorded in the previous year. This increase has been primarily driven by enhanced operational efficiencies and market demand, contributing to a gross profit of Rs. 2.54 billion, compared to Rs. 1.23 billion in the prior year.
The company’s operating profit for the year surged to Rs. 1.67 billion from Rs. 567.47 million, marking a very large move in profitability. The bottom line reflected a profit after taxation of Rs. 1.20 billion, a marked improvement from Rs. 238.32 million in the previous fiscal year. Consequently, earnings per share for the year stood at Rs. 33.43, compared to Rs. 6.62 in 2025.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Agriauto Industries declared a final cash dividend of Rs. 5 per share, which equates to 100% of the face value. No bonus or rights shares were announced, and there was no other price-sensitive information disclosed.
A closer look at the consolidated statement of financial position reveals an increase in total assets to Rs. 10.42 billion from Rs. 9.65 billion the previous year. Non-current assets experienced a minor decline, while current assets increased significantly, largely due to higher stock-in-trade and trade debts.
On the liabilities front, the total liabilities decreased to Rs. 3.22 billion from Rs. 3.60 billion, reflecting improved financial management. The decrease in non-current liabilities and a reduction in short-term finances contributed to this overall decline.
Despite challenges, Agriauto Industries Limited’s robust financial performance for the fiscal year 2026 underscores its resilience and strategic focus on enhancing shareholder value. The announcement of a substantial cash dividend further highlights the company's positive outlook and commitment to rewarding its investors.
