Karachi: Aisha Steel Mills Limited has announced the successful credit of ordinary shares to its shareholders against a preferential dividend, following approval from its Annual General Meeting on October 23, 2026. On November 3, 2026, a total of 34,369,614 ordinary shares were credited to the accounts of entitled shareholders within the Central Depository System of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the issuance of these shares has resulted in a very large or significant move in the company’s paid-up capital, increasing from 974.51 million shares to 1.01 billion shares. This noteworthy transaction reflects the shareholder-approved corporate strategy to distribute dividends in the form of equity rather than cash.
While 80% to 90% of the shares have been successfully credited, the remaining 10% to 20% are currently withheld. These shares will be credited after the applicable withholding tax is received. In cases where tax obligations are not met, the company may proceed to dispose of the withheld shares as outlined in their AGM Notice.
Shareholders entitled to receive the ordinary shares in physical form will have their shares dispatched following the completion of necessary formalities and tax requirements. The movement in share capital has positioned Aisha Steel Mills Limited to further solidify its market presence within the designated market category.
