Lahore: Altern Energy Limited has issued a notice for its upcoming 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for October 28, 2024. The meeting will commence at the company's registered office located on Lahore.
According to the notification, the agenda for the AGM includes the confirmation of the minutes from the previous meeting held on October 26, 2023. Shareholders will review and adopt the annual audited financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2024. These documents, alongside the directors’ and auditor's reports and the consolidated financial statements for the same period, will be considered for approval.
Additionally, the meeting will address the appointment of external auditors for the next fiscal year, following the retirement of the current auditors, M/s Grant Thornton Anjum Rahman. The firm has been reappointed to audit Altern Energy's accounts for the year ending June 30, 2025.
The notice also specifies that any other business may be transacted with the permission of the Chair during the AGM. Company secretary Sajran Ali signed the notice dated October 7, 2024, indicating all preparations have been finalized for the stakeholders' assembly.
