Askari Bank Reports Extensive Loss of Share Certificates

Karachi: Askari Bank Limited has reported the loss of multiple share certificates totaling 2,960 shares, as per a notice circulated on August 16, 2024. These certificates belong to Mrs. Erum Patel and span over 31 certificates, with distinctive numbers ranging broadly across different series.

The detailed loss includes shares from certificate numbers 86447 to 741585, affecting holdings between 78 and 827 shares per certificate. Notably, some certificates such as numbers 595329, 619247, 640799, and 662481 were reported without a closing certificate number, yet the distinctive numbers and total shares impacted were specified.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the bank has issued an advisory to its members not to transact these certificates. If no objections are raised within three days following this notification, Askari Bank will proceed to issue duplicate certificates to the shareholder.
