Faisalabad: Chenab Limited has applied for an extension to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The application, documented under Letter No.CL/109/25 and dated October 1, 2026, has been submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The company awaits SECP's permission to proceed.
The application for extension was made under Section 132, in conjunction with Sections 223 and 237 of the Companies Act, 2017. It seeks additional time to convene the AGM and present the financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2026. The documents submitted include a duly signed affidavit from the Company Secretary and a paid challan of Rs.15,025 as the requisite fee for the extension.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Chenab Limited's request also includes a letter from their external auditors, M/s RSM Avais Hyder Liaquat Nauman Chartered Accountant, based in Faisalabad, confirming the availability of audited accounts.
The company has committed to informing the exchange promptly once the SECP grants the necessary permission. The extension is critical for fulfilling statutory requirements related to the circulation of the AGM notice along with the annual audited financial statements.
