Karachi: EFU Life Assurance Ltd has reported a decline in its net profit for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, compared to the same period last year. The company's profit after tax stood at 1.65 billion rupees, down from 1.82 billion rupees in the corresponding period of 2025, reflecting a big move of 9.10%.

The decrease in profit comes amid a challenging economic environment and fluctuations in the financial markets. EFU Life Assurance's premium and contribution revenue increased to 47.96 billion rupees from 39.79 billion rupees in the prior year, marking a very large or significant move. The company's net premium and contribution revenue rose to 44.78 billion rupees from 36.55 billion rupees, demonstrating a very large or significant move.

The company's financial performance in the third quarter alone showed a profit after tax of 360.88 million rupees, compared to 598.78 million rupees in the same quarter last year.
