Karachi: Ellcot Spinning Mills Ltd. has announced the election of its new board of directors following an extraordinary general meeting held on January 26, 2026. The company, operating within the designated market category, confirmed the appointment of ten directors, who will serve a three-year term commencing immediately.
The newly elected directors are Mr. Shahzada Ellahi Shaikh, Mr. Shaukat Ellahi Shaikh, Mr. Shafqat Ellahi Shaikh, Mr. Raza Ellahi Shaikh, Mr. Amin Ellahi Shaikh, Mr. Haroon Shahzada Ellahi Shaikh, Mr. Agha Ghulam Ahmed Gul, Mrs. Faaria Rehman Salahuddin, Mr. Imran Motiwala, and Mr. Jamal Nasim, representing NIT.
Among the appointees, Mr. Agha Ghulam Ahmed Gul, Mrs. Faaria Rehman Salahuddin, and Mr. Imran Motiwala have been designated as independent directors. Their selection adheres to the criteria set forth by The Companies (Manner and Selection of Independent Directors) Regulations, 2018, emphasizing their diversified experience and extensive knowledge.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the appointment of these directors is in line with the provisions of section 159(5) of the Companies Act, 2017. The company has requested that TRE certificate holders of the Stock Exchange be informed accordingly.
