Fateh Industries Faces Financial Hurdles Amid Production Halt

Karachi: Fateh Industries Limited has released its annual report for the year ending June 30, 2026, highlighting significant financial challenges and the continued suspension of its production activities. The report, dated November 2, 2026, reveals that the company recorded no sales over the past year, citing financial constraints and the broader economic situation in Pakistan as contributing factors.

The company reported administration expenses of Rs. 5.51 million, alongside rental and dividend income amounting to Rs. 1.83 million, and a foreign exchange gain of Rs. 1.00 million. However, after accounting for financial and other charges totaling Rs. 17.70 million, Fateh Industries incurred a loss before taxation of Rs. 20.80 million. The net loss after taxation stood at Rs. 21.10 million, with a comprehensive loss of Rs. 20.56 million, resulting in a loss per share of Rs. 10.55. The company has applied for delisting from the Pakistan Stock Exchange, a matter that is currently under consideration.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Fateh Industries has faced a major shift in its financial trajectory. Over the years, the company has seen its sales dwindle from Rs. 27,400 in 2020 to none in 2026. A notable point in the report was the absence of female employees, negating the need for a gender pay gap analysis. The company remains committed to fostering an inclusive workplace in future operations.

In light of the financial strain and accumulated losses, the board of directors has not recommended any dividend for the fiscal year. Looking forward, the report underscores the ongoing economic and political difficulties in Pakistan, including high inflation, elevated interest rates, and depleted foreign exchange reserves. These factors continue to pose significant challenges to economic growth and stability.

The company's directors also highlighted the inherent risks and uncertainties it faces, asserting their commitment to mitigating these through engagement with stakeholders. Despite the financial setbacks, the report assures compliance with the Listed Companies (Code of Corporate Governance) Regulations-2019, with no significant doubts about the company's ability to continue as a going concern.

The annual report also disclosed that there were no material changes affecting the financial position of the company between the end of the fiscal year and the report's release. Furthermore, the auditors, M/s. Clarkson Hyde Saud Ansari, Chartered Accountants, are set to retire at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting. They have offered themselves for reappointment, a recommendation supported by the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors for the year ending June 30, 2027.
