Lahore: First National Bank Modaraba has announced that its 21st Annual Review Meeting for certificate holders will take place on October 28, 2024, in Lahore, with an option for participants to join virtually via a video-link. This meeting will assess the performance of the Company for the fiscal year that concluded on June 30, 2024. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this session will also mark a significant transition in how the Company communicates its financial results to certificate holders.

The primary agenda for this gathering is to vote on a new resolution that would allow the Company to distribute its annual financial documents through modern digital methods. Specifically, certificate holders will consider authorizing the distribution of the annual balance sheet, profit and loss account, auditor's report, and directors report through a QR enabled code and a direct web link, as endorsed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). This change is in line with S.R.O No. 389(I)/2023, issued by SECP on March 21, 2023.

If approved, this resolution will eliminate the need for postal dispatches of these documents, streamlining access for certificate holders and reducing paper use, aligning with environmental sustainability practices. The move to digital dissemination reflects an adaptation to contemporary communication preferences and regulatory provisions set forth under section 223(6) of the Companies Act, 2017.
