Karachi: Ghani Global Glass Limited (GGGL) has announced the successful commissioning and operation of a 1.5 MW solar power generation system, marking a major milestone for the company in its pursuit of renewable energy solutions. The project was completed at a cost of Rs. 120 million, as disclosed in a report dated September 10, 2026.
The newly operational solar system is expected to play a significant role in enhancing energy security and reducing the environmental footprint of GGGL’s manufacturing operations. The investment aims to decrease the company's reliance on electricity sourced from the local grid, especially during daylight hours, which aligns with the energy-intensive demands of glass manufacturing.
