Habib Metropolitan Bank Declares Interim Cash Dividend for 2025

Karachi: Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited has announced an interim cash dividend for its shareholders. According to details from the bank's recent notice, the board of directors declared a second interim cash dividend, marking a payout of Rs.2.50 per share, equivalent to 25 percent. This follows the initial interim cash dividend of the same value earlier this year.

The announcement was made following a board meeting on August 13, 2025. The bank specified that the dividend will be distributed to shareholders listed on the Register of Members by the close of business on August 22, 2025. To facilitate the dividend distribution, the bank's share transfer books will remain closed from August 25 to August 27, 2025.

Shareholders have been advised to ensure that their postal addresses and banking details are updated with the bank's share registrar. This is in compliance with Section 242 of the Companies Act, 2017, which mandates that listed companies distribute cash dividends via electronic transfer to the specified bank accounts of shareholders. The E-Dividend Mandate Form required for this process is available on the bank's official website.

In addition, income tax will be deducted from the dividend as stipulated by the Income Tax Ordinance of 2001. Shareholders who have yet to submit valid copies of their CNICs are requested to do so promptly to avoid withholding of their dividends.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the announcement is categorized under the banking sector, a designated market category that plays a significant role in the financial ecosystem.

The bank has also requested certificate holders to share this notice with relevant stakeholders as needed. This interim dividend marks a continued effort by Habib Metropolitan Bank to provide returns to its investors while adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring transparency in its financial operations.
