Ittehad Chemicals Introduces Electronic Voting for Upcoming AGM

KARACHI: Ittehad Chemicals Limited has announced the introduction of an electronic voting facility for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled on October 28, 2024. This move is aimed at facilitating shareholder participation in decision-making processes regarding special business items on the agenda.

The AGM will focus on the review and approval of special business initiatives. Members are invited to utilize the new electronic voting system as well as the traditional postal ballot. Voting will begin on October 25, 2024 and will conclude on October 27, 2024. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this approach allows shareholders to cast their votes without the need to be physically present at the meeting location, thus increasing accessibility and participation.

Shareholders are required to ensure their ballots are fully completed and signed, accompanied by a copy of their CNIC, and can be submitted either through mail to the company’s registered address or via email. This procedure must be completed a day before the AGM to be counted valid. The company also emphasized that once a vote on a resolution is cast by a member, it cannot be changed, ensuring the integrity of the voting process.

Ittehad Chemicals has taken these steps in compliance with Regulation #8 of the Companies (Postal Ballot) Regulations 2018, demonstrating a commitment to transparency and shareholder engagement.
