LSE Ventures Limited Granted Extension for Annual General Meeting and Quarterly Filings

Islamabad: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved a 30-day extension for LSE Ventures Limited for its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the filing of its quarterly financial statements.

The company, facing delays due to unspecified reasons, had requested the extension under sections 132 and 223 of the Companies Act, 2017, which pertains to the scheduling of its AGM, originally due for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024. Furthermore, under section 237 of the Act, LSE Ventures has been granted additional time until November 27, 2024, to convene its AGM, where it will present the financial statements for shareholder approval.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), extensions such as this are not uncommon, particularly in instances where companies require more time to prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports.

Additionally, the company is allowed until November 29, 2024, to file its first quarterly accounts for the period ending September 30, 2024. This extended timeline ensures that LSE Ventures Limited can maintain thorough financial oversight and compliance as per regulatory standards.

This decision by the SECP underscores its flexibility and support for public companies in maintaining rigorous financial transparency and governance, which are crucial for the protection of investor interests and the overall integrity of the capital market.
