Javedan Corporation Limited to Discuss Disposal of Subsidiary at Extraordinary General Meeting


Karachi: Javedan Corporation Limited (JCL) has announced the scheduling of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) set for Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The meeting will take place both physically at the Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana, located on Manghopir Road, Karachi, and virtually via Zoom. The focus of the meeting will be to seek shareholder consent and approval through special resolutions for the potential sale or disposal of the entire 100% shareholding of its wholly owned subsidiary, Sapphire Bay Development Company Limited.



The company has stated that the notice of the EOGM will be shared in due course. The Share Transfer Books of JCL will be closed from June 12, 2026, to June 19, 2026, inclusive of both days, to determine the entitlement of shareholders to attend and vote at the meeting. Transfers received at the office of the company’s Share Registrar, M/s. CDC Share Registrar Services Limited, located at CDC House, 99-B, Block-B, S.M.C.H.S, Main Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, by the close of business on Thursday, June 11, 2026, will be considered timely for this purpose.



According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), JCL has taken the necessary steps to inform TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange about the forthcoming EOGM. This strategic move by JCL to discuss the disposal of its subsidiary aims to realign its business focus and shareholder interests.
