JD Taurus Announces Intent to Acquire 35.06% Stake in Saudi Pak Consultancy Company

Karachi: JD Taurus (Pvt) Limited has made a public announcement of its intention to acquire a significant 35.06% shareholding in Saudi Pak Consultancy Company Limited (SPCL), a move that could reshape the consultancy landscape. This acquisition, dated June 23, 2026, is subject to obtaining necessary regulatory clearances from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The company has cautioned that the acquisition process could be halted if these approvals are not granted.

JD Taurus plans to acquire 15,835,403 shares through agreements, accounting for 35.06% of the total shareholding. In addition, a public offer for 14,662,549 shares, representing a 32.47% stake, has been proposed under the Securities Act, 2015. The designated market category for this transaction has not been disclosed.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), trading in shares of the target company, Saudi Pak Consultancy Company Limited, has been suspended since March 22, 2022, when the share price stood at PKR 0.9. This suspension adds a layer of complexity to the acquisition process.

JD Taurus is a consultancy firm established on October 28, 2025, in Pakistan, with expertise spanning management consulting, trade advisory, investment banking solutions, and financial planning services. The company's leadership includes Chief Executive Mamoon Ur Rashid Qureishi, Director Muhammad Yaqoob, and Director Zahid Hussain, who collectively hold substantial shares in the company, with Qureishi and Yaqoob each owning 40% and Hussain holding a 20% stake.

Saudi Pak Consultancy Company Limited has faced challenges in recent years, with fluctuating revenues and profits. In 2025, the company reported a profit after tax of 44, and its total assets were valued at 686, with a net worth of -399.
