Karachi: Lotte Chemical Pakistan Ltd. has issued a final notice to shareholders regarding unclaimed dividends under Section 244 of the Companies Act, 2017. The notice, dated December 30, 2025, is set to be published in newspapers on December 31, 2025. According to the company’s statement, dividends have remained unclaimed or unpaid for three years since becoming due and payable.
The company had previously sent a notice on September 22, 2025, to shareholders at their last known addresses via registered post. Shareholders were requested to submit their claims within three months to the company’s Share Registrar, FAMCO Share Registration Services (Pvt.) Ltd, located in Karachi. However, only a few shareholders have filed their claims.
Lotte Chemical Pakistan Ltd. is now inviting claims from shareholders within a 90-day period following this final notice. Failure to lodge claims within the specified timeframe will result in the unclaimed or unpaid amounts being deposited with the Federal Government, as required by sub-section (2) of Section 244 of the Companies Act, 2017.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has taken these steps to comply with legal obligations regarding unclaimed dividends. The company’s actions are part of a broader initiative to address outstanding shareholder claims.
Shareholders are urged to take immediate action to claim their dividends to prevent the transfer of funds to the government.
