Karachi: LSE Capital Limited has announced the submission of an initial public offering (IPO) application for the listing of its latest special purpose acquisition company, LSE SPAC-III, on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. This move comes after the successful IPOs of SPAC-I and SPAC-II.
The intention behind this new IPO is to raise a total of PKR 500 million. Of this amount, PKR 400 million is expected to be subscribed by pre-IPO investors, which includes seed funding from LSE Capital itself. The remaining PKR 100 million will be raised through public subscriptions. The funds are earmarked for investment in the acquisition of potential target companies, as permitted under the Public Offering Regulations of 2017.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the planned capital raise by LSE Capital represents a significant move in the market category of special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs). The trend of SPAC listings has seen a notable interest among investors looking to engage in early-stage capital market activities.
The application marks a strategic step for LSE Capital as it continues to expand its portfolio of SPACs, effectively leveraging the regulatory frameworks available to facilitate market entry for new ventures. The exact timeline for the listing remains contingent upon regulatory approvals and market conditions.
