LSE Finance Reports Decline in Profit as Operating Income Falls

Karachi: LSE Finance reported a notable decline in its net profit for the fiscal year ending December 23, 2025, as the company witnessed a reduction in operating income and share of profit from associates. The company's financial performance highlights several key metrics, indicating shifts in its financial landscape over the past year.

Operating income for LSE Finance decreased to 30,790,000 rupees from the previous year's 39,348,000 rupees. Other income also saw a reduction, amounting to 18,954,000 rupees compared to 20,386,000 rupees in 2024. The share of profit from associates experienced a significant decrease, dropping to 14,468,000 rupees from 79,511,000 rupees.

Administrative and general expenses were reduced to 39,822,000 rupees from 54,485,000 rupees, alongside a reduction in finance cost to 223,000 rupees from 5,871,000 rupees. Consequently, profit before taxation fell to 24,167,000 rupees from 78,889,000 rupees. Taxation also diminished, resulting in a net profit of 18,186,000 rupees, down from 61,268,000 rupees in the previous year.

Equity plus revaluation surplus increased slightly to 456.98 million rupees, alongside a total asset valuation of 489.18 million rupees. Net assets matched the equity figure, while the total liability saw a decrease, now standing at 32.20 million rupees. Shares outstanding remained constant at 35,678.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), LSE Finance's earnings per share (EPS) have been impacted by these financial shifts, although specific EPS figures were not disclosed. The company's credit rating was reaffirmed by VIS at 'A/A-11 (Single A)', indicating strong financial strength and low credit risk.
