Macter International Limited Reports Growth Despite Challenges in Third Quarter 2026

Karachi: Macter International Limited has released its quarterly financial results for the period ending September 30, 2026. The company reported a net turnover of Rs 3,093 million for the third quarter, reflecting a 12% increase from the same period last year. This growth comes amid ongoing macroeconomic challenges, political instability, and disruptions in the global supply chain. The report, dated November 2, 2026, highlighted the impact of discontinued exports to Afghanistan and continuous political instability in the northern region on overall growth. Excluding these factors, net revenue could have seen an increase of 22%.

The company has made significant strides in expanding its international business, with export sales excluding Afghanistan rising by 147% compared to the previous year. Macter has expanded its geographical presence from five to twelve countries and is focused on further expanding its international footprint across existing and new export markets.

Gross profit for the quarter increased by 13% compared to the same period last year, in alignment with the revenue growth. This performance was achieved through pricing discipline, product mix optimization, and operational efficiencies that helped counteract rising input costs and supply chain difficulties stemming from regional geopolitical tensions.

However, the company's operating profit saw a decline due to continued investment in market presence, distribution expansion, and brand development, especially in the emerging GLP-1 segment. Macter is focused on balancing strategic growth initiatives with effective cost management and operational efficiencies to ensure sustainable business performance.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's financial performance reflects its commitment to investing in research and development, manufacturing, and commercial excellence. Macter aims to launch innovative products for its customers in Pakistan and globally.

The earnings per share as per the unconsolidated financial statements for the period July-September 2026 was Rs. 2.16, compared to Rs. 3.41 during the same period last year.
