Mari Energies Limited Begins Gas and Condensate Production from Spinwam-1 in Waziristan Block

Karachi: Mari Energies Limited, in collaboration with joint venture partners, has commenced gas and condensate production from the Spinwam-1 discovery in the Waziristan Block, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. The announcement, dated April 1, 2026, marks a significant development under the Extended Well Testing (EWT) phase.

The Spinwam-1 well, completed in the Lockhart reservoir, is set to produce approximately 40 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas and around 200 barrels per day (BBL/D) of condensate. This development allows the early production facilities established at Shewa to operate at full capacity, with total production from both Shewa and Spinwam wells anticipated to reach approximately 100 MMscfd of gas and 800 BBL/D of condensate.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Mari Energies holds a 55% working interest in the Waziristan Block, with Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Orient Petroleum Inc. holding 35% and 10% interests, respectively. This collaboration underscores the strategic partnership aimed at enhancing energy production capabilities within the region.
