Karachi: Mari Petroleum Company Limited has successfully completed the dispatch and crediting of an 800% bonus issue to its shareholders. This significant distribution follows the approval from the company’s shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on September 24, 2024, with the shares credited on September 27, 2024.

The company has announced that the dispatched bonus shares will be fully issued to shareholders once the applicable taxes are collected, based on the closing price on the first day of the book closure. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), shareholders who fail to meet their tax obligations will see their shares disposed of by the company to cover the income tax amounts paid on their behalf, in line with Section 236Z of the Ordinance.

Shareholders have been sent detailed instructions on how to comply with the tax payment process to ensure they receive their full share entitlement.
