MCB Bank Limited Announces Dividends Amid Financial Shifts

Lahore: MCB Bank Limited's Board of Directors has announced its financial results for the half-year ending June 30, 2026. The board meeting took place on August 6, 2026, at the MCB House in Lahore, with additional participation via zoom.

A second interim cash dividend of PKR 9.00 per share, amounting to a 90% payout, was declared. This follows the first interim cash dividend of the same amount earlier this year. No bonus shares, right shares, or other corporate actions were announced, and no additional price-sensitive information was disclosed.

The bank's financial statements, both standalone and consolidated, are to be made available through PUCARS in due course. Shareholders registered by August 18, 2026, will be eligible for the dividend, with the share transfer books closed between August 19 and August 20, 2026.

The unconsolidated condensed interim statement of financial position reveals total assets of 3.43 trillion rupees as of June 30, 2026, compared to 3.25 trillion rupees as of December 31, 2025. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the bank's investments increased to 2.07 trillion rupees, while advances rose to 756.17 billion rupees. Cash and treasury balances also showed significant growth, reaching 203.32 billion rupees.

On the liabilities side, MCB Bank reported total liabilities of 3.12 trillion rupees, up from 2.93 trillion rupees at the end of the previous year. Notable changes include a rise in deposits and other accounts to 2.60 trillion rupees, marking a very large or significant move. Borrowings decreased to 352.92 billion rupees, representing a big move.

The net assets of the bank slightly decreased to 312.58 billion rupees from 315.74 billion rupees. The shareholder equity is composed of 11.85 million rupees in share capital, 111.73 billion rupees in reserves, a surplus on revaluation of assets of 63.83 billion rupees, and unappropriated profits amounting to 125.47 billion rupees.
