Karachi: MCB Bank Limited has announced the loss of several share certificates, affecting a total of 1,072 shares, according to a report issued on October 2, 2026. The report, released by THK Associates (Pvt.) Limited, highlights the details of the lost certificates and the legal heirs who have notified the bank of the loss.
The loss includes certificates associated with two folios. The first case involves Ume Parveen Kausar, who reported a loss of certificates linked to 267 shares. The shares are documented under Folio No. 87870, with certificates numbered 490950-490951 and 708897-708898, covering distinctive numbers 88889757 to 88889813 and 108049517 to 108049537.
In a separate instance, Folio No. 84540, involving Fazal Haq and Shahana Ansari, accounts for a more significant loss of 805 shares. These shares are associated with multiple certificate numbers, including 146994, 265064, and 704036-37, among others, covering a wide range of distinctive numbers.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the bank has requested that members of the exchange refrain from dealing with these certificates. The bank has outlined that if no objections are received within seven days of this notice, duplicate share certificates will be issued to the legal heirs concerned.
MCB Bank Limited has urged all relevant parties to circulate this information promptly among exchange members to prevent any unauthorized transactions involving the lost share certificates. The bank continues to monitor the situation closely and is prepared to take necessary actions to safeguard the interests of the shareholders involved.
