Karachi: The Board of Directors of MCB Investment Management Limited has approved the financial results for the Alhamra Cash Management Optimizer for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The meeting took place at the company's head office in Karachi on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
The financial report reveals that the total income for the year was recorded at 4.42 billion rupees, a decrease from the previous year's 5.12 billion rupees, representing a very large or significant move of -13.72%. The decline in profits was primarily attributed to a reduction in profit on investments, which fell to 2.61 billion rupees from 3.62 billion rupees last year.
Capital gains on the sale of investments also witnessed a decrease, amounting to 16.31 million rupees compared to 94.68 million rupees in the preceding year. Additionally, the unrealized gain on the re-measurement of investments at fair value through profit or loss stood at 16.24 million rupees, down from 20.99 million rupees.
However, the profit on deposits with banks increased to 1.78 billion rupees from 1.39 billion rupees, a big move of 27.39%, providing a partial offset to the declines in other income categories.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the total operating expenses saw a decrease, amounting to 263.72 million rupees, down from 378.34 million rupees the previous year. The net income before taxation was recorded at 4.16 billion rupees, a drop from the previous year's 4.75 billion rupees, indicating a moderate move of -12.39%.
There was no taxation for the current period, resulting in a net income after taxation of 4.16 billion rupees. The income already paid on units redeemed was 3.67 billion rupees, leaving an accounting income available for distribution at 488.13 million rupees, a minor move from last year's 507.96 million rupees.
