MCB Investment Management Reports Big Move in Alhamra Islamic Active Allocation Fund’s Quarterly Performance


Karachi: The Board of Directors of MCB Investment Management Limited has approved the financial results for the Alhamra Islamic Active Allocation Fund for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. The announcement was made following a meeting held at the company’s head office in Karachi on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.



The interim statement of assets and liabilities revealed that total assets for the Alhamra Smart Portfolio increased to 293,436,000 rupees from 222,234,000 rupees recorded at the end of the previous quarter. The net assets also saw a significant increase, rising to 292,404,000 rupees from 221,393,000 rupees.



The number of units in issue rose from 1,381,435 to 1,777,048, and the net asset value per unit increased to 164.5451 rupees from 160.2631 rupees, marking a big move of 2.67%.



According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the income generated from the gain on the sale of investments and net unrealized gain on re-measurement of investments at fair value through profit or loss stood at 20,113,000 rupees, compared to 6,881,000 rupees in the previous period.



Net income for the period after taxation was reported at 19,669,000 rupees, showing a notable increase compared to 6,480,000 rupees from the same quarter last year. The comprehensive income for the period remained unchanged at 19,669,000 rupees.



The financial results indicate a strong performance by the Alhamra Islamic Active Allocation Fund, with an increase in both asset value and income, reflecting the company’s strategic management and market positioning.
