The decline in income was primarily driven by a reduction in income from government securities, which fell to 96,756,000 rupees from 1.29 billion rupees the previous year. Profit on bank deposits showed a minor move, increasing slightly to 247.92 million rupees from 243.60 million rupees in 2025. Furthermore, income on letters of placement dropped to 4.18 million rupees from 15.33 million rupees, while income from secured lending arrangements ceased entirely, as opposed to 7.11 million rupees in the previous year. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the total expenses for the year stood at 43.77 million rupees, representing a very large move down from 156.76 million rupees in the previous year. This significant decrease in expenses was reflected in reduced remuneration for the management company and the trustee, as well as lower sales tax on these remunerations.

The net income for the year before taxation amounted to 339.18 million rupees, down significantly from 1.48 billion rupees in the previous fiscal year. After accounting for taxation, the net income for the year remained at 339.18 million rupees.

In terms of allocation, the accounting income available for distribution was divided into 17.57 million rupees relating to capital gains and 321.61 million rupees excluding capital gains, compared to 43.47 million rupees and 1.44 billion rupees respectively, in the prior year.

The data reflects a challenging year for MCB Investment Management Limited, as the company navigated a substantial decline in its income sources, particularly in government securities and term finance securities.
