Karachi: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has granted Nadeem Textile Mills Limited an extension for convening its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and for the submission of its quarterly financial statements. This development comes as the company seeks to comply with requirements under the Companies Act, 2017.
According to a report dated October 5, 2026, the SECP has approved the extension for Nadeem Textile Mills to hold its AGM by November 27, 2026. The meeting will review the company's annual audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. Additionally, the company has been permitted to file its first quarterly financial statements for the period ending September 30, 2026, by November 29, 2026.
The decision was made under section 132 read with section 223 of the Companies Act, 2017. The SECP has advised Nadeem Textile Mills to enhance its internal procedures to ensure future compliance with legislative timelines, thereby reducing dependency on extensions.
The textile sector, which is a significant component of Pakistan's economy, continues to face challenges including regulatory compliance. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the sector's performance is closely monitored due to its impact on the market.
This extension aims to provide Nadeem Textile Mills with the necessary time to address its financial reporting obligations while adhering to regulatory expectations.
