Karachi: The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has announced a new designated time schedule for Bank Guarantee (BG) Transfer functionality, effective September 21, 2026. This update is crucial for market participants who rely on the Post Trade Risk Management System for efficient banking operations.
The new schedule, applicable from Monday to Friday, sets the Bank Guarantee Transfer activities from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, under the responsibility of Clearing Members. This change aligns with the broader operational hours of the National Clearing Settlement System (NCSS), which runs from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, and extends to 7:45 PM on Fridays.
Within the designated market category, balance order deliveries are scheduled between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on weekdays, with extended delivery timings from 4:15 PM to 5:45 PM. The Pay and Collect activities are segmented throughout the day, beginning with provisional collections and concluding with final pay screens and bank account statements by the end of the day.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the new schedule integrates various trading and transaction activities, including IDSC initiation and affirmation for multiple market trades, and margin financing transactions, which could impact market liquidity and participant operations.
In addition, non-exchange transactions such as Margin Financing (MF) initiation and affirmation are scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday to Thursday, extending to 6:00 PM on Fridays. The NCCPL has also outlined specific timings for Margin Financing Rollover and Auto Rollover processes, ensuring streamlined financial operations across the trading week.
This update is essential for market participants to ensure compliance and operational efficiency in the execution of post-trade activities, as emphasized by the NCCPL in their communication to market participants.
