Karachi: National Foods Limited has reported notable financial outcomes in its unaudited condensed financial results for the nine months ending March 31, 2026, showcasing substantial growth across several key metrics. According to the company’s Directors’ Report, the group achieved a 17% increase in net sales in both domestic and international markets, driven by robust demand and operational efficiencies.
The economic environment in Pakistan during the fiscal period showed signs of cautious improvement, with headline inflation remaining within a manageable range. The average Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation for the period from July to March in FY26 was recorded at a minor move of -0.07% compared to the same period last year. The State Bank of Pakistan maintained a steady monetary policy with the policy rate holding at 10.0% since a 50-basis point cut effective December 16, 2020. GDP growth expectations for the full year remain stable, providing a conducive backdrop for economic activities.
National Foods Limited’s consolidated financial results highlighted a 29% rise in gross profit from 12,049 million Pakistani Rupees in the previous year to 15,547 million Pakistani Rupees. Operating profit saw a very large or significant move of 83%, reaching 5,833 million Pakistani Rupees, up from 3,180 million Pakistani Rupees in the same period last year. The net profit after tax increased by more than 100% to 5,342 million Pakistani Rupees. Earnings from discontinued operations contributed an additional 20,317 million Pakistani Rupees, resulting in a total net profit after tax of 25,669 million Pakistani Rupees.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company’s financial indicators reflect a solid momentum driven by disciplined execution and operational excellence. The gross margin improved by 4%, reaching 40%, while the operating margin increased by 5% to 15%. The net profit margin showed a very large or significant move with a rise of 55%, reaching 66%.
The Directors’ Report also pointed out the challenges posed by recent geopolitical developments, which created intermittent supply chain disruptions. However, the company emphasized that timely contingency measures were implemented to ensure business continuity and mitigate the impact on operations.
