National Investment Trust Limited Reports Significant Increase in Net Assets for Q3 2025

Karachi: The National Investment Trust Limited (NITL) has released its un-audited condensed income statements for the quarter ending September 30, 2025, revealing a significant increase in net assets compared to the previous quarter. According to the statement, the net assets surged from 109.15 million rupees at the end of June 2025 to 162.05 million rupees by September 30, 2025.

The financial results, disclosed in a communication to stakeholders, detailed the performance of several funds managed by NITL, including the National Investment (Unit) Trust Fund, NIT-Islamic Equity Fund, NIT-Government Bond Fund, and others. The condensed interim statement of assets and liabilities highlighted total assets of 162.95 million rupees against liabilities of 908,000 rupees, resulting in net assets of 162.05 million rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the net asset value per unit showed a big move, rising from 26.1742 rupees at the start of the period to 34.9994 rupees by the end of September 2025. This increase was fueled by the issuance of 570,000 units, generating a value of 17.32 million rupees, alongside the redemption of 110,000 units valued at 3.41 million rupees.

In terms of income, the quarter saw a total comprehensive income of 40.86 million rupees, up significantly from 2.43 million rupees during the same period in 2024. The income was largely driven by dividend earnings and gains on the sale of investments, despite unrealized losses amounting to 36.88 million rupees on investments measured at fair value through profit or loss.

The cash flow statement indicated a net cash inflow from financing activities amounting to 13.90 million rupees, against a net cash outflow of 13.22 million rupees from operating activities. Consequently, cash and cash equivalents increased from 1.32 million rupees at the beginning of the period to 2.00 million rupees by the end of September 2025.

These financial results underscore NITL's strong performance for the quarter, reflecting an effective investment strategy and robust fund management, as evidenced by the comprehensive income and increase in net assets.
