Karachi: Engro Fertilizers Limited, through its registrar Famco Share Registration Services (Pvt) Ltd, has announced the loss of a shareholder's share certificates. The loss, officially reported to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on October 9, 2024, involves 500 shares under certificate number 4964, with distinctive numbers from 1281520501 to 1281521000.
The shareholder, Mr. Muhammad Sohaib Shaikh of Karachi’s RAFA-E-AAM Society, has not been able to locate these certificates. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the registrar has requested that the trading of these shares be suspended to prevent any unauthorized transactions. The company has issued a notice to all market participants, advising them not to engage with these shares until further notice.
The registrar stated that if no objections are received within seven days of this notice's publication in national newspapers, duplicate certificates will be issued to Mr. Shaikh to replace the lost ones. This procedure ensures the integrity and security of shareholder transactions and prevents potential misuse of lost share certificates.
