Pak Datacom Announces Annual General Meeting and Dividend Payment

Islamabad: Pak Datacom Limited has scheduled its 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) for October 21, 2024, to be held in Islamabad and via video link using Zoom. The meeting will focus on key financial activities including the adoption of audited accounts for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024.

According to the agenda, shareholders will review and potentially approve the financial statements that were previously made available on the company's website, following legal requirements under section 223(6) of the Companies Act, 2017. These documents include audited accounts, along with reports from the Chairman, Directors, and Auditors.

Another significant item on the agenda is the Board of Directors’ recommendation for a final cash dividend. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), shareholders are proposed to receive a dividend of Rs. 3.50 per share, which equates to a 35% payout for the fiscal year recently concluded.

Furthermore, the AGM will address the reappointment of the company’s auditors. M/s BDO Ebrahim and Co Chartered Accountants, the retiring auditors, are standing for re-election for the next fiscal year, pending shareholder approval on their remuneration.

Additional business may also be discussed at the meeting with the Chair's permission, potentially addressing future strategies or operational adjustments.
