Karachi: Pak Datacom Ltd. has applied for a 30-day extension to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, due to procedural delays hindering the completion of audit-related formalities. The extension request, submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), aims to shift the AGM date from October 28 to November 27, 2026.
The delay in convening the AGM arises from unavoidable procedural setbacks that have prevented the statutory auditors from completing necessary audit tasks on schedule. Consequently, Pak Datacom Ltd. seeks this extension to finalize the statutory audit and fulfill associated corporate and regulatory requirements.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the rescheduling will allow the Board of Directors to consider the annual audited financial statements adequately. The Board meeting, initially planned for October 5, 2026, has been postponed, with a new date to be disclosed later, ensuring a seven-day prior notice.
Pak Datacom Ltd. is committed to issuing the required 21-day notice to shareholders for the AGM, which will now be planned to occur on or before November 27, 2026, in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
