Pak-Gulf Leasing Company Limited Proposes Doubling Authorized Share Capital

Karachi: Pak-Gulf Leasing Company Limited has announced a significant proposal to double its authorized share capital, subject to shareholder approval and regulatory consent, as disclosed in a report dated September 29, 2026. The decision was made during a Board of Directors meeting held on September 28, 2026.

The company's current authorized share capital stands at Rs. 500,000,000, consisting of 50 million ordinary shares valued at Rs. 10 each. The Board has proposed an increase to Rs. 1,000,000,000, which would expand the share count to 100 million ordinary shares of Rs. 10 each. This move is set to be voted on at the Annual General Meeting scheduled for October 27, 2026.

In addition to the capital increase, the Board has approved amendments to the Object Clause and other provisions of the Memorandum and Articles of Association. These changes aim to incorporate Investment Finance Services (IFS) as permitted under the applicable Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) Rules and Regulations.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Pak-Gulf Leasing Company Limited's proposal is part of a strategic effort to enhance its financial capabilities and service offerings. The proposed changes reflect the company's intent to align with industry regulations and expand its operational scope within the financial services sector.
