Karachi: Pakistan Oxygen Limited has announced its financial results for the year ending December 31, 2025, reporting a notable increase in profit compared to the previous year. The Board of Directors convened on February 27, 2026, in Karachi to review and recommend the financial outcomes.
The company reported a profit of 1.67 billion rupees for the year 2025, a significant move from the 711.76 million rupees recorded in 2024. This increased profitability is reflected in the earnings per share, which rose to 19.16 rupees from 8.17 rupees in the previous year.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the gross sales for Pakistan Oxygen Limited reached 15.04 billion rupees, up from 13.06 billion rupees in 2024. This increase in sales contributed to a gross profit of 5.24 billion rupees, compared to 3.06 billion rupees in the prior year. Despite higher administrative and other operating expenses, the company achieved an operating profit of 4.12 billion rupees, a substantial increase from 2.18 billion rupees in 2024.
The company experienced a reduction in finance costs, which decreased to 483.16 million rupees from 999.10 million rupees in 2024. The profit before taxation rose to 3.64 billion rupees from 1.14 billion rupees, indicating a very large or significant move in profitability. Taxation expenses also increased to 1.97 billion rupees from 432.84 million rupees.
The Board has recommended no cash dividends, bonus shares, or right shares for the period. The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for April 27, 2026, at the company's registered office in Karachi. The share transfer books will remain closed from April 20 to April 27, 2026.
The company's financial position shows total assets amounting to 20.60 billion rupees, up from 19.09 billion rupees in the previous year. Non-current assets increased marginally, while current assets rose to 6.27 billion rupees from 5.51 billion rupees. Notably, cash and bank balances increased significantly to 1.30 billion rupees from 562.66 million rupees.
In terms of cash flow, Pakistan Oxygen Limited reported cash generated from operations of 4.79 billion rupees, up from 3.39 billion rupees in 2024. The net cash from operating activities amounted to 3.70 billion rupees. Investing activities saw a net cash outflow of 868.17 million rupees, while financing activities resulted in a net outflow of 1.73 billion rupees.
The company concluded the year with a net increase in cash and cash equivalents of 1.09 billion rupees, improving its cash position significantly compared to the previous year.
