Pakistan Petroleum Limited Elects New Board of Directors

Karachi: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has announced the election of its new board of directors following the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on September 15, 2026. The election was conducted in compliance with Rule 5.6.1 of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Rulebook and in accordance with Section 159 of the Companies Act, 2017. The directors will serve a term of three years.

The company has appointed six independent directors as part of its governance structure. The newly elected independent directors are Mr. Abdul Ghani Dadabhoy, Mr. Dawood Muhammad Bareach, Mr. Laeeq Ahmed, Mr. Mohammad Irfan Siddiqui, Ms. Sadia Khan, and Mr. Shahid Khan. Their inclusion is expected to bolster the board's impartiality and oversight capabilities.

Additionally, four ex-officio directors have been elected to the board. These directors include Mr. Ikramullah Khan, Mr. Mirza Nasir-Ud-Din Mashhood Ahmad, Mr. Qumar Sarwar Abbasi, and Mr. Shakeel Qadir Khan. Their roles as ex-officio members are pivotal in ensuring the alignment of PPL’s strategic direction with its operational mandates.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the election process and the selection of directors adhere to the regulatory frameworks established for listed companies, ensuring transparency and accountability in corporate governance.
