Pakistan Refinery Limited Reschedules Annual General Meeting and Director Elections

Karachi: Pakistan Refinery Limited has announced a rescheduling of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the postponement of its Board of Directors' elections, initially set for October 7, 2026. The company has confirmed that the AGM will now take place on October 21, 2026, adhering to the timeline mandated by Section 132 of the Companies Act, 2017, which requires the meeting to occur within 120 days of the financial year's end on June 30, 2026.

The current Directors' term, due to expire on October 7, 2026, will now extend until the new elections at the rescheduled AGM. This postponement creates an interim period of 14 days during which the existing Board will continue its functions as per Section 158 of the Companies Act. The company has reported these changes to the Securities and Exchanges Commission of Pakistan to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
